How to Measure for an Inside Mount

Inside Mount Width

For an Inside Mount (inside the window casing) of SolarChoice Heaters passive solar heating system:

Start by measuring the width of the window in 3 places – the top, middle and bottom – and write down all 3 measurements as you go. The smallest of the 3 measurements will be the number to enter on the Order Now page for your window width. For example – if you wrote down the following measurements for the width of your window:

Top: 47 ½"
Middle: 47 ½”
Bottom: 47 ¾"

The width to enter on the order page will be 47 ½” because it’s the smallest of the three measurements.

Inside Mount Height

Now you’ll want to do the same for the height of your window.

Measure the height of your window on the left, center and right. Again, write down each measurement as they’re taken. The measurement you will enter on the Order Now form will be the longest of the 3 measures.
